Holding Three Summits in Saudi Arabia Reflects Wisdom of King Salman, says Bahrain’s king

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain has extended his deepest thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for his kind invitation to GCC, Arab and Islamic countries' leaders to participate in the emergency GCC and Arab summits, and the 14th OIC Summit, the three of them to be held in Makkah city.

"Holding the three summits reflect the Saudi King's wise leadership andthe tremendous efforts he is exerting to safeguard National security," the Kingof Bahrain said in a press statement.

"It also enhances joint Arab and Islamic action in order to strengthenthe ability of the Arab and Islamic nation to face all issues and counter thecurrent challenges that pose a serious threat to their countries' security andstability."

King Hamad expressed confidence that in light of the patronage of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, the summits will augur a new phase of Arab and Islamic solidarity, cooperation and complementarity that would meet the aspirations of Arab and Islamic peoples for more development and prosperity.

King Hamad of Bahrain expressed hope that the summits would come up with results and resolutions that would champion and serve the just causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.

Arab leaders gather in Saudi Arabia on Thursday for emergency summitsthat Riyadh hopes will deliver a strong message to Iran that regional powerswill defend their interests against any threat following attacks on Gulf oilassets this month.
