The Qassim Municipality continues its efforts to improve the quality of life through the Green Qassim Land initiative by expanding green spaces and enhancing the urban landscape, thereby promoting a human-centered approach to cities and providing a suitable urban environment for residents and visitors.

The efforts included developing walkways and public facilities, and establishing parks.

In 2024, the municipality carried out the “Bahjah” project, which involved establishing 10 new parks in Buraidah with various designs and sizes to increase per capita green space and promote sustainable development.

During the same year, the municipality also implemented 20 urban interventions to improve the city’s aesthetic appearance and enhance the urban environment, in addition to constructing 41 walking tracks in parks, squares, and public spaces in Buraidah, with a total length of 44,179 meters.

Furthermore, during 2024, 14,777 trees and 695,110 flowers were planted, and over 34,500 square meters of turf grass were laid. Efforts continued in 2025 with 8,240 trees and 297,950 flowers planted, and over 16,000 square meters of turf grass laid.

Through the Green Qassim Land initiative, the municipality works to enhance vegetation cover and implement awareness and volunteer programs aimed at promoting a culture of tree planting and environmental preservation, along with campaigns to address visual distortion and eliminate negative practices.

These efforts contribute to improving the quality of life, achieving environmental sustainability, and expanding green spaces in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
