Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of Defense; received on Wednesday a phone call from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

During the phone conversation, they discussed ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

They also reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and the efforts made toward it; the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Meanwhile, the British government issued a press release; saying: "The Prime Minister spoke to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman this evening."

"He reiterated the importance of the UK's close relationship with Saudi Arabia and stressed our commitment to strengthening UK-KSA trade and investment."

"They also discussed the crisis in Yemen and support for the work of UN Special Envoy Martin Griffiths. The Prime Minister thanked Muhammad Bin Salman for his leadership at the G20 on the global response to coronavirus, and looked forward to the upcoming G20 leaders' summit," the press release read.
