Tourism Minister Highlights Aseer's Rapid Rise as Tourism Destination

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb announced at the second Aseer Investment Forum today that Aseer Region saw approximately eight million domestic and international tourists in 2024. This figure underscores the region’s growing prominence as a major tourism destination in the Kingdom.

Aseer’s diverse natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage make it an attractive environment for tourism investment. Al-Khateeb noted that the coming years will see the addition of approximately 4,000 new hotel rooms to the region's tourism market, supported by the broader tourism ecosystem.

He also highlighted the ministry's efforts to draw international hospitality brands, which are now focusing on Aseer due to its promising opportunities.

He commended the pivotal role played by the region's residents in sustaining the tourism sector, emphasizing that Aseer's youth are the cornerstone of delivering an authentic and distinctive visitor experience.
