The Saudi team arrived today in Phoenix, Arizona, to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2026, held from May 9 to 15 and featuring over 1,700 students from 70 countries, as part of the Kingdom’s participation led by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions for Giftedness and Creativity Foundation (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education.

The Saudi delegation consists of 42 students presenting high-quality projects in promising scientific fields.

These finalists were selected from the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa 2026), a flagship annual program organized by Mawhiba to cultivate and showcase local talent.

Since joining ISEF in 2007, the Kingdom has secured 185 awards, including 124 grand prizes and 61 special awards.

In the previous edition, Saudi Arabia achieved a historic milestone by ranking second globally in grand prizes, trailing only the United States, as it continues to strengthen its international standing in science and innovation.
