Saudi Minister of Industry Visits Dutch Factories and Companies

The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, has visited a number of the most prominent Dutch industrial companies and held meetings with their leaders to discuss the ways to enhance cooperation and develop partnerships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands in various industrial fields.

During a visit to Philips Healthcare Company in the Dutch city of Eindhoven, Al-Khorayef met its most prominent officials and discussed the ways to enhance cooperation in the field of medical device manufacturing and localizing this vital industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Khorayef also visited FrieslandCampina, a leader in the field of dairy products and ingredients, and discussed with its Directors General the possibility of establishing a research and development center in the Kingdom to improve the quality of local production and food processing.

On his visit to Upfield Company, Al-Khorayef discussed with its CEOs the ways of enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences in the field of consumer products and the plant-based food industry, and contributing to achieving the goals of food security and environmental sustainability.

It is noteworthy that the visit of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to the Netherlands comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s endeavor to enhance the role of the industrial and mining sectors in the map of the national economy and to promote growth paths between the two countries in a number of promising industries, along with attracting quality investments and increasing the access of Saudi non-oil exports to the Dutch and European markets.
