SABIC and KAUST Deepen Collaboration for Saudi Arabia's Innovation Push

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) held the first SABIC Day at KAUST, strengthening their commitment to Saudi Arabia's research and development goals.

The event highlighted the growing partnership between academic and industrial leaders, with a focus on areas like circular economy, carbon neutrality and differentiated solutions.

SABIC’s Executive Vice President of Sustainability, Technology and Innovation Dr. Bob Maughon emphasized the potential for deeper collaboration that aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals, among which, establishing a technologically advanced and sustainable economy.

KAUST President Tony Chan called the event a "pivotal moment" and praised SABIC's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

KAUST Vice President for Strategic National Advancement Dr. Najah Ashry stressed the role the synergy between academia and industry has in driving impactful research for sustainable growth.

The event underscores how Saudi institutions are joining forces to achieve the Kingdom's development goals.
