The transport and logistical services system last year achieved a package of achievements in integration with the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), where these accomplishments serve efforts to move ahead towards realizing the Saudi Vision 2030.

Launching the National Transport and Logistics Strategy is among the top achievements realized last year, where it is considered one of the enablers of the Saudi Vision 2030 in the transport and logistics sector, in addition to adopting the logistical services agency at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services and launching the Saudi Logistics Academy and training 300 trainees.

Other achievements that were realized in the transport and logistical services in integration with NIDLP include launching the unified logistic license that aims at merging a number of licenses in one license and delivering these licenses to 34 companies as a first batch, where other achievements also include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s winning of membership of the council of the International Maritime Organization for two years spanning between 2022-2023, as well as realizing progress in the maritime navigation network indicators with global maritime routes.

Also, last year witnessed a remarkable improvement in the ranking of Saudi airports at the global level, where four Saudi airports ranked among the top 10 improved airports in the Middle East.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ports also realized a unique achievement through the King Abdullah Port that topped global ports at the container performance index, and Jeddah Islamic Port ranked eighth globally.
