The Ministry of Tourism has launched a smart accommodation service for pilgrims ahead of the Hajj season, part of a broader initiative to improve operational efficiency and raise service standards, the ministry said.

The service uses artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to streamline accommodation procedures and improve the hospitality experience for pilgrims.

Ministry spokesperson Nasr Al-Ansari said the platform was designed to improve the efficiency of receiving and housing pilgrims in real time. He said the system allows pilgrim data to be shared in advance with accommodation providers, helping reduce waiting times upon arrival.

The ministry said the launch reflects its ongoing efforts to improve the pilgrim experience and help worshippers perform their rituals more easily through the adoption of modern technology.
