Mawani Adds ‘Jebel Ali Middle East Express’ Shipping Service to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of a new shipping service, the “Jebel Ali Middle East Express,” operated by CMA CGM, to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.

This move aims to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi ports in the global maritime transport sector, support the smooth flow of international trade, and improve operational efficiency.

The new service links King Abdulaziz Port with Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait, Khalifa Bin Salman Port in Bahrain, and Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, with a handling capacity of up to 2,202 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

This step is part of Mawani’s ongoing efforts to improve the Kingdom’s ranking on global performance indicators and enhance operational efficiency at King Abdulaziz Port.

It also supports national exports and aligns with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a key link connecting three continents.
