Deputy Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Competitiveness and Advanced Manufacturing Dr. Ahmed Al‑Zawawi held a bilateral meeting with Head of Growth and Strategy at Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Kyriakos Triantafyllidis.

The two sides discussed areas of cooperation to support the Kingdom’s industrial transformation on the sidelines of the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition in Riyadh.

The meeting addressed major global trends in advanced manufacturing technologies and mechanisms to accelerate the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution applications in national factories.

It also underscored the importance of building international partnerships to transfer modern industrial technologies and support the development of value chains in the industrial sector.

The two parties reviewed future collaboration opportunities between the ministry and the World Economic Forum, particularly within the framework of the “Industrial Lighthouse” initiative, and ways to enhance an enabling environment for a competitive industrial sector that adopts the latest technologies, meets future requirements, and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition, which was organized for the first time in the region as an extension of the global Hannover Messe exhibitions, and hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in cooperation with Deutsche Messe and Riyadh Exhibitions Company.
