Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Industrial Council Bandar Alkhorayef chaired the first meeting of the council’s third term yesterday at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, with the attendance of senior officials and council members from the public and private sectors.
The meeting commended the progress achieved in implementing the council’s previous recommendations to address industrial sector challenges, reflecting the collaborative efforts of relevant government entities in partnership with the private sector.
It also highlighted key achievements in resolving issues related to industrial land allocation, land transport, and the enhancement of customs codes in industrial licensing.
The council discussed several topics related to the industrial sector, including joint government efforts to promote fair competition, combat commercial fraud in certain industrial products, lease government lands to industrial establishments, and a proposal concerning the best legislative practices.
The meeting also reviewed the decisions and initiatives launched to foster sustainable industrial growth and enable high-value industrial investments in the Kingdom, and featured a presentation on the main achievements of the National Industrial Strategy since its launch.
