On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister , Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of General Authority for Military Industries, inaugurated in Riyadh today, Sunday, the first edition of the World Defense Show 2022, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries which lasts until 9 March 2022.
HRH the Crown Prince toured the exhibition's facilities, which witnessed the participation of more than 590 companies from around the world representing 42 countries, in addition to the participation and attendance of a number of national government agencies operating in the defense and security sector and other sectors related to the military and defense industries sector, which included many equipment miscellaneous militaries.
HRH the Crown Prince was briefed on the virtual command and control center, equipped with the latest systems and technologies that simulate the future of command and control centers produced by major international defense companies.
HRH the Crown Prince was accompanied during the opening ceremony by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; and Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense.
HRH the Crown Prince was also escorted by Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the World Defense Exhibition Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib; Head of State Security Abdulaziz Al-Huwairini; Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali; Chief of the General Staff General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili; the Commander of the Joint Forces General Mutlaq bin Salem Al-Azaima; Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled Al-Biyari; Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Dr. Hisham Al Al-Sheikh; and Military Adviser to the Minister of Defense Major General Eng. Talal Al-Otaibi.
