AlUla Dates Auction entered its third week, attracting a substantial number of visitors from the Kingdom and abroad.

The wide variety of high-quality dates on display is being praised by attendees.

Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla in collaboration with several governmental and private entities, the auction has become a focal point for date traders. It runs every Friday and Saturday until November 9, and offers an impressive array of date products and by-products, which are vital to AlUla's economy.

The governorate boasts over three million palm trees that produce over 120,000 tons of export-quality standard dates annually.

The auction aims to boost the competitiveness of AlUla dates in local, regional, and global markets, in line with AlUla Vision and the broader Vision 2030 initiative, which aspires to make Saudi Arabia the biggest world exporter of dates.

In October, the AlUla Dates Season will expand with the launch of the Dates Market in Al-Manshiyah neighborhood; accompanying events and activities will be centered on AlUla's heritage.

The season will also explore creative uses of dates to make various products and culinary delights.
