

The 117th Ministerial Session of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the League of Arab States began today at the league’s headquarters.
Chaired by Algeria, the session convenes Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and ministers or representatives of economy and trade from member Arab states.
The Kingdom’s delegation was led by Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance for Multilateral International Relations Naif bin Mohammed Alenzi.
The council discussed draft agendas and resolutions on economic and social issues, including topics to be presented at the league council’s 35th regular summit session, to be held in Saudi Arabia.
