Arab Justice Ministers Call for boycott Supporting any Entities Involved in Terrorist Acts

The Arab Justice Ministers Council called upon the Arab states to intensify bilateral and collective Arab cooperation in the field of exchanging information related to combating terrorism and activating the provisions of Article 4 of the Arab counterTerrorism Convention.

Sheikh Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Samani, Minister of Justice and Honorable President of the Arab Justice Ministers Council, who is also Chairman of the Executive Office of the Arab Justice Ministers Council, led the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting.

At a conclusion of the Arab Justice Ministers Council's 35th meeting in Cairo today, the council affirmed the importance of refraining from providing any support to entities or individuals involved in the terrorist acts.

The council reiterated its rejection of all forms ofextortion by terrorist groups of threatening or killing hostages or demandingransom, calling to set national mechanisms ensuring effectiveness of tracking,seizure and confiscation of money laundered or directed to finance terrorism asquickly as necessary.

The Arab justice ministers called on the Arab states to ratify the Arab Convention on Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

The council stressed the importance of strengtheningcooperation with the international organizations and specialized agencies toobtain the required assistance in building the necessary capabilities toaddress the threat of terrorism.
