Sports minister offers SR1m support to clubs participating in AFC Champions’ League

Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal has instructed to award SR1 million; to each club taking part in the current edition of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League, set to resume on Sept. 14.

Moreover; this grant is in accordance with the AFC decision; in addition to undertaking the cost of accommodation of the players of the 4 clubs. The championship is set to take place; under a grouping system; due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Riyadh-based Al-Hilal, the AFC reigning champions, and its cross-city rival Al-Nasr, Jeddah-based Al-Ahli and Ta'awon from Buridah, are also representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; in this edition of the AFC championships.
