Sport Minister Attends Closing Ceremony of Islamic Solidarity Games 'Riyadh 2025'

Minister of Sport, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal attended the closing ceremony of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games "Riyadh 2025" that concluded yesterday at the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University sports stadium in Riyadh.

In the games, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia finished fourth, securing 57 medals (18 gold, 12 silver, and 27 bronze).

Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee vice president and Higher Organizing Committee for the Games chairman Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed also attended the event.

During the closing ceremony, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki delivered a speech in which he expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his generous patronage of this tournament, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his generous and unlimited support for the sports sector, which formed the solid foundation for the success of this tournament.

He then officially handed over the hosting rights for the seventh edition of the games to Malaysia, wishing it success in organizing a tournament that continues the legacy of solidarity and success.

The closing ceremony included several Saudi artistic and cultural performances, the honoring of volunteers, a parade of participating nations, and a video showcasing the games' most memorable moments.
