Saudi Arabia’s national football team is ready to face Indonesia tomorrow in the Asian play-offs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, head coach Hervé Renard confirmed on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference held at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, the French coach expressed hope that the stadium would be packed with fans to support the players in this crucial encounter.

Renard underlined the team’s determination, stressing that the players fully understand the importance of the Saudi national team’s presence in the World Cup. He recalled that Saudi Arabia secured qualification from the same stadium in 2018 against Japan and in 2022 against Australia, adding that the squad is now aiming for a seventh qualification with confidence and resolve.

He noted that the team is technically prepared after a successful training camp in Europe, which saw significant improvement in players’ performance, and emphasized that everyone will give their utmost tomorrow to secure a place in the tournament.

For his part, Saudi national team player Nawaf Boushal affirmed his and his teammates’ readiness for the decisive match, stressing that the presence of fans will provide the greatest motivation to achieve victory and qualification.
