US Says No Evidence Saudis involved in Terrorist Groups

Samar

Washington said on Monday that there was no evidence linking Saudi cadets receiving military training in the US to terrorist groups.

US Attorney General William Barr added that Saudi Arabia was offering complete support in the probe into a Saudi officer's fatal shooting of three Americans at a Florida naval base in December.

The FBI team probing the shooting at a US Navy base in Florida expressed its appreciation to Saudi officials and students for their cooperation in the investigations.

During a news conference, Barr added that none of the Saudi trainees helped the Saudi Air Force Second Lieutenant Mohammed Alshamrani. Moreover, none of them had knowledge in advance of the attack.

A deputy sheriff shot dead the gunman, who had opened fire at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.
