UNICEF Hails Saudi Arabia’s Humanitarian Missions in Yemen

UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund) Executive Director; Henrietta Fore praised Saudi Arabia's humanitarian role in Yemen.

This came in a letter to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief); in which she expressed thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, for the generous support that it announced. This is through implementing seven diverse projects with cost of $46 million for Yemen.

Remarkably, the projects also fall within the framework of the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen 2020.

The support will also help UNICEF in supporting children and their families in different fields; inclining health, nutrition, water and sanitation and education.

The center's aid will also help in the fight against COVID-19 in Yemen by training health personnel. Besides, providing medical and other essential supplies, according to UN official.
