The CEO of Saudi Railway Company, Bashar Al-Malik, met on Monday with French Ambassador to the Kingdom; Ludovic Pouille to discuss aspects of cooperation with French companies in the field of railways.
"Rich and fruitful meeting with Bashar Al-Malik, CEO of the Saudi Railway Company. Exchanges regarding the reinforcement of the cooperation with French companies; within the implementation of the Vision2030 in the strategic field of the railway," the French envoy also said in a tweet on Monday.
The meeting also comes amid reports that French transport technology provider Alstom; which is working on the Riyadh Metro project, is targeting expansion in Saudi Arabia.
The Riyadh Metro project, a part of the Riyadh Public Transport Project, is also nearing competition.
