The General Conference of the League of Islamic Universities at its eleventh session has elected in Saturday Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa as President of the Association of Islamic Universities, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Al-Issa received the congratulations from muftis, scholars,and Islamic figures of Member States of the Association.
The Association of Islamic Universities was established in 1969. It is active in supporting scientific research in the field of Islamic studies, coordination between Islamic universities, their curricula and educational and research policies to achieve convergence and integration among them, in order to contribute to solving the problems of Muslim societies and to counter extremist ideology. elected
