Jeddah hosted a two-day workshop on "International Humanitarian Law and the National and International Organizations Concerned with It," a collaboration between the Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Dar Al-Hekma University.

The workshop was organized as part of the Kingdom's efforts to raise International Humanitarian Law awareness, highlighting its role in protecting human beings and reducing the suffering of civilians during armed conflicts.

The first day covered the fundamental principles and historical development of International Humanitarian Law.

The second day focused on the standing committee's efforts in disseminating knowledge, developing curricula, and building partnerships with academic and international institutions.

The workshop saw a strong turnout and active participation from Dar Al-Hekma University faculty and students, whose contributions enriched the sessions with both academic and practical dimensions.

The standing committee stressed the importance of continued collaboration to reinforce the Kingdom's leading position in the field.
