The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) announced the acceptance of 116 teachers in the second installment of its program to train teachers of Arabic for non-native speakers worldwide in collaboration with a national education company specializing in educational technology.
The six-week program includes intensive training in the teaching of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as well as classroom management, test construction, and using electronic platforms.
The program also requires passing a final exam and submitting an applied graduation project.
Teachers from Britain, Italy, Bosnia, Guinea-Conakry, Nigeria, and Brazil have participated in this program, with a passing rate of 63.08%. Successful students received an academic certificate and a free license to teach 20 students using the educational platform for a year.
Some 2,240 students are expected to benefit from this installment, with the total number of beneficiaries reaching 8,000 students annually.
