The Qiblatain Mosque and Civilization Center Project in Madinah represents the harmony of religious devotion and cultural heritage. It aims to preserve the mosque as a lasting beacon of faith and history, honoring the moment of the qibla’s change and guiding generations of visitors to Madinah.
Located in Madinah's northwest, the mosque has undergone numerous restorations, with significant expansions during the Saudi era, particularly under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s dedication to preserving Islamic landmarks and improving services for visitors.
Managed by Al Madinah Region Development Authority, the project combines historical authenticity with modern technology. The entire site spans over 265,000 square meters, with the mosque itself covering more than 3,900 square meters and accommodating upwards of 20,000 worshippers.
The project also includes over 300 parking spaces for buses and cars, along with more than 50 canopies equipped with 100 misting fans, providing a comfortable and refreshing atmosphere.
Thoughtfully designed corridors and courtyards facilitate smooth movement and create a welcoming environment for worshippers and visitors alike.
Following the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' directive, the mosque is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enabling worshippers to pray and benefit spiritually at all times. Caring for such sacred sites remains a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s mission to serve Islam and preserve its rich heritage.
