The first group of pilgrims arrived yesterday at Prince Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Yanbu, coming from several countries, including Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Sudan.
This comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to receive pilgrims and facilitate their arrival to perform their Hajj rituals this year.
They were received in Yanbu by personnel from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and several related authorities, as well as several volunteer teams.
Director of the Yanbu Airport Unit at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Mazen bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi said that the extensive preparations that preceded the pilgrims' arrival included coordination with various agencies operating at the airport to ensure swift completion of procedures and providing the best services.
He noted that work teams are working around the clock to serve pilgrims and facilitate their movement with ease and convenience.
