Organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, and taking place at the Grand Mosque until Safar 17, 1446 AH, the competition brought together 174 contestants from 123 countries.

Speaking at the start of the final rounds of the 44th edition of the competition, Abu Shalf said that in Bahrain, the selection for participation in this international competition is done by testing the level of participants in accordance with criteria set for memorization, Tajweed, and recitation.

After selection, a preparation and training program is provided to the nominees, to help them achieve the best results in this prestigious competition, which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organizes annually in Makkah.

Abu Shalf extended his thanks to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their efforts in serving Islam and Muslims.
