The second conference of officials responsible for combating cybercrime in Arab ministries of interior was held yesterday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunisia.
The event drew participation from various Arab interior ministries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as representatives from the Arab League, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
Key topics discussed included the development of an Arab strategy to combat crimes involving AI, the proposal of a unified organizational structure for a specialized agency to tackle cybercrime across Arab countries, and measures to address electronic financial fraud.
Additionally, the conference provided a platform for member states to review their experiences and best practices in combating cybercrime.
