Aqabat Al-Dhala in Aseer, Tourist Attraction Offering Traditional Cuisine amid Pleasant Weather

Ajel News

Parks lining the edges of Wadi Aqabat Al-Dhala in the Aseer Region, connecting Abha's highlands to the Aseer coast and Jazan region, are popular spots for both locals and tourists seeking pleasant weather and the traditional cuisine offered at restaurants and cafés in the parks.

To cater to the large influx of visitors, particularly during the winter season, when highland residents prefer the warmer lowlands, the Aseer Municipality has provided numerous sites and services.

The SPA lens captured the surge of visitors in these parks.

Mohammed Al-Mazni, owner of Dera Night Park, told an SPA reporter about the rising number of tourists and locals arriving from cities such as Abha, Khamis Mushait, and Uhud Rafaida, drawn by winter tourism activities tailored to suit diverse groups of visitors.

He noted that this year, an exhibition showcasing Al-Qatt Al-Asiri (a traditionally female interior wall decoration in Aseer) has been set up as a pathway throughout the park.

The exhibition aims to offer entertainment and engage enthusiasts and art lovers in this traditional art form.
