Al-Ahsa Date Harvest Season Achieves Record Sales and Attendance

The 2025 Al-Ahsa date harvest season, which ran for 46 days, achieved record-breaking sales and public attendance, registering 2,909 sales transactions totaling 1,898 tons of dates, reflecting the vibrant commercial activity in this vital sector.

The season featured a variety of commercial and social events, attracting over 1,200 visitors weekly and offering more than 20 date varieties. It also created over 350 job opportunities for young Saudis, empowering national talent and enhancing their contribution to the agricultural sector.

The season witnessed remarkable participation and interest from local and Gulf investors, including agricultural entrepreneurs and owners of food processing and manufacturing facilities. An accompanying exhibition showcased initiatives and products from government agencies, private sector entities, and non-profit organizations, highlighting developments across the date industry value chain.

The season continues to reinforce Al-Ahsa’s status as a global capital of dates and a pivotal hub for its production and export.
