Saudi Arabia strongly condemns attacks by Israeli forces at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Samar

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the blatant attacks carried out by the Israeli forces, violating the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and threatening the safety and security of the worshipers.

In a statement early Thursday carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi foreign ministry called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for the escalation and called for an immediate end to any escalatory actions violating the international pacts and treaties.

The ministry reiterated that the Kingdom stands with the Palestinians, and supports all efforts aimed at ending the conflict and reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with UN resolutions and the Arab Peace initiative.
