Official Spokesman of the Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali announced that the health authorities have resumed executing a national plan to give the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine to beneficiaries from all ages, stressing the importance of taking the vaccines to protect the society and combat the virus.
In a press conference, he said that 1,112 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total confirmed cases to 501,195, including 10,805 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 1,418 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.
Dr. Al-Abdulaali added that 1,189 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 482,414 cases. Also, 13 new deaths have been reported, bringing the total deaths to 7,976.
The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses that have been administered reached 19,614,937 doses, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said.
