Saudi Arabia expressed deep sorrow over the train collision in Sohag, Egypt, which resulted in injuries and deaths.
In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy; to the families of the victims, and to Egyptian leadership, government and people. It also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Later, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman; sent separate cables of condolence and sympathy to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the victims of the train accident.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince; extended their deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Egyptian president, the families of the victims, and the people of Egypt; praying to Allah Almighty to bless the souls of the deceased and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain also expressed sorrow and solidarity with Egypt over the fatal train collision.
In a statement, the UAE's foreign ministry extended its sincere sympathy; to the government of Egypt and to the families of the victims; over this great tragedy and expressed speedy recovery to the injured.
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan have also sent separate cables of condolences to Egyptian President El-Sisi for the victims of the collision between two passenger trains.
Bahrain's King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa also extended deepest condolences and sympathy to the Egyptian president, people, and the victims' families, praying to Allah the Almighty; to rest the souls of the deceased in eternal peace, bless the wounded with a speedy recovery and protect Egypt and its brotherly people from all evil.
