The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned on Tuesday the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen for storming the headquarters of the US embassy in Sanaa.
The ministry said this criminal act is a flagrant violation of international norms and laws.
It demanded the immediate release of US embassy staff.
It underlined the need for the international community to take a firm stance against the Houthi violations in Yemen; stressing the need to implement all international agreements that can help reach a comprehensive political solution that secures Yemen's stability.
