Recoveries surge as Saudi Arabia sees 351 new coronavirus cases

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Monday 351 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours; marking a slight drop in the number of infections.

The ministry announced six more deaths; over the past 24 hours from complications caused by coronavirus.

This also brings the total number of coronavirus infections in the Kingdom to 380,182 and virus-related fatalities to 6,534.

The ministry also reported 418 recoveries over the past 24 hours; raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 371,032.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 168 cases; followed by the Eastern region with 62 and the Makkah region with 53 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom; with just seven of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 2,616 active cases and 519 of them were in critical condition.
