The Secretary Generalof the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin AhmedAl-Othaimeen condemned the attack, which targeted Afghan security forcesin the Dawlat Abad district of Balkh province on 24 December 2019, killing atleast seven soldiers.
The Secretary Generalcalled for the cessation of violence and urged all Afghans to exercise maximumrestraint and redouble their efforts towards peace.
The Secretary Generalconveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as tothe Government and people of Afghanistan and wished a speedy recovery for thewounded.
