The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), represented by the Patent Office, participated, virtually, in a sub-regional meeting on intellectual property, innovation and public health for a group of Arab countries, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The meeting aims to provide an opportunity for states and governmental and non-governmental organizations and states members of WIPO to exchange views on various topics and issues related to innovation and public health, including the effects and repercussions of the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, in addition to the challenges and difficulties related to public health as well as the global intellectual property system.
