French Minister of Culture, Dr. Roselyne Bachelot, visited the historic area in Jeddah on Saturday, as part of her current visit to Saudi Arabia.
The minister toured various parts of Old Jeddah, getting acquainted with its heritage sites and historic houses, which have been registered on the Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The minister was briefed on old facilities, neighborhoods and heritage landmarks.
