Algeria Extends Lockdown for 10 Days to Limit COVID-19 Spread

Algerian authorities announced today that the lockdown currently enforced in the country to help limiting the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been extended for a period of ten days, starting today.

The lockdown includes, 37 governorates, and extends from 8 PM until 6 AM, said the statement, adding that the decision also suspends urban and rail transport, during the weekly holidays, as well as the activities of weekly markets, recreational and cultural halls.
