300 Volunteers, 25 Paramedic Points at Grand Holy Mosque, Holy Sites for Hajj

The voluntary team affiliated with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has embarked on its mission for this year's Hajj season through more than 300 male and female volunteers to support paramedics services affiliated with the Authority during the Hajj season in each of Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah to offer paramedics services for pilgrims.

A voluntary team specialized in infection control was formed to participate in applying preventive measures for pilgrims and worshippers at the Grand Holy Mosque and Holy Sites, and raising their awareness on adhering to procedures to preserve their safety. Moreover, voluntary teams have been equipped with more than 2,000 medical items, including 30 fully equipped ambulance bags and 30 oxygen bags, in addition to activating the e-paramedic to receive notes issued from the central operations room.

Director of Volunteering Department at SRCA Hana Al- Shamrani noted that the volunteering team participating in supporting and covering Hajj is spread over 25 paramedic points at the Grand Holy Mosque and Holy Sites.
