Saudi Arabia’s minister of transport meets Chairman of COSCO

Saudi Arabia's minister of transport, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Transport Authority, Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, has visited on Sunday the port of Shanghai in China and hold talks with Chairman of China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO).

This visitcame during the participation of Dr. Al-Amoudi within the Kingdom's delegationin the works of 'the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation',the Saudi Press agency said.

"During thevisit, the Minister was briefed on latest techniques being used in containerhandling and facilitating access to and departure from the port, as the port ofShanghai is considered the largest port in the world," the agency added.

Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Amoudi met with the Chairman of China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO), one of the world's largest shipping companies.

The meetingdiscussed opportunities of developing the relationship with the Chinese companyas well as making use of its expertise in Saudi ports.

Dr.Al-Amoudi concluded his tour by stressing the keenness of the Saudi ports tostrengthen the partnership with the Chinese side, especially as China occupiesa leading position in exporting goods by sea to world markets.
