Saudi Arabia launches ‘Society for Preserving Industrial Heritage’ Program

Saudi Arabia Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan announced Tuesday the establishment of the Saudi Society for the preservation of Industrial Heritage as well as launching of Industrial Heritage Program under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.

In a meeting attended by Dr. Majid bin Abdullah AlQasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment and Engineer Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Prince Badr stressed the Ministry of culture's keenness to support Saudi diverse culture.

He also pointed out that the Industrial Heritage reflects the level of industrial and civic progress of nations. "Saudi Arabia has an established industrial heritage for thousands of years, and has such monuments that deserve care and consideration" the Prince said.
