Spring Daisies Highlight AlUla's Desert Biodiversity

Ajel News

Daisy flowers (Anthemis) are currently spreading across the plains, sandy areas, and dunes of AlUla Governorate, creating striking natural landscapes that reflect the diversity of the desert environment.

Daisies flourish between February and April following seasonal rainfall, characterized by white petals surrounding a yellow center.

The plant supports organic honey production by attracting bees and butterflies, and is also used in pharmaceutical and traditional medicine applications.

The Royal Commission for AlUla continues its efforts to rehabilitate natural habitats and protect seasonal plants in line with environmental sustainability goals.
