SFDA, RDIA Seek Collaborative Solutions to Enhance Pharmaceutical Research in Kingdom

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) recently held a meeting with the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA) at its headquarters in Riyadh to discuss strategies to enhance cooperation and support for pharmaceutical research and innovation in the country.

The meeting, aimed at exchanging regulatory and legislative experiences, involved Dr. Adel Al-Harf, Vice President of the Drug Sector from the SFDA, and Dr. Basil AsSadhan, Vice Governor of Strategy from RDIA, along with several officials from both organizations.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed several agenda topics, including projects related to food and medicine that promote research and innovation, collaboration with universities, research centers, and the private sector, and the development of procedures and pathways. They also discussed the strategic plan of the RDIA.

This meeting was part of the SFDA's commitment to supporting research and drug innovation, aligning with the aspirations and objectives of the national strategy for the research, development, and innovation sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
