Saudi Interior Ministry Issues Hajj Safety and Crowd Management Guidelines

Ajel News

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has issued a comprehensive safety and security guide for the 1447 AH Hajj season aimed at ensuring pilgrims’ safety and facilitating the smooth movement of crowds during the pilgrimage.

The guide outlines designated pedestrian routes leading to the Grand Mosque and specifies pathways for the Tawaf and Sa’i areas. It also identifies peak congestion periods inside the mosque and its courtyards and includes instructions related to vehicle movement and crowd management.

Authorities urged pilgrims to comply with scheduled times for Tawaf, Sa’i and the stoning ritual at Jamarat to help ease congestion during peak periods.

The ministry also reaffirmed enforcement of the “No Hajj Without a Permit” regulation and detailed penalties for violations as part of broader efforts to maintain security and public order during the pilgrimage season.

Officials called on the public to report violations by dialing 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other parts of the kingdom.
