Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held two meetings with leaders of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and officials from Technical Development Solutions (TDS) to enhance mining cooperation and explore joint opportunities for research, innovation, and advanced technologies in the sector.
These meetings took place during the inaugural GEOMIN Symposium in Jeddah.
In his discussion with SEG leaders, Alkhorayef focused on developing joint initiatives in mining exploration research and the latest global practices in geophysical surveys.
The meeting also addressed programs for enhancing human capital in geological surveying and plans for the GEOMIN Symposium.
During the meeting with TDS officials, the minister explored ways to strengthen collaboration in advanced mining technologies and reviewed innovative smart solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability in the mining sector.
Both meetings included CEO of the Saudi Geological Survey Eng. Abdullah Al-Shamrani and other key figures from the Kingdom’s mining sector.
The 2025 GEOMIN Symposium, featuring prominent geological experts and researchers, began yesterday in Jeddah, aiming to promote dialogue on the future of mineral exploration and showcase the latest innovations in the field.
