A medical team at King Saud University Medical City has developed an innovative surgical technique for treating anterior skull base tumors using endoscopic endonasal surgery.
This advanced technique enables the removal of large tumors while significantly reducing complications and preserving the patient’s sense of smell as much as possible.
The multidisciplinary medical team, comprising specialists in neurosurgery and sinus surgery, successfully achieved complete tumor removal while preserving the patient’s sense of smell during post-operative follow-up.
The results of this pioneering procedure were published in a specialized international scientific journal, underscoring King Saud University’s leading role in adopting and developing advanced treatments that enhance the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services.
