Qassim's growing industrial significance has led to its selection as the host of the first "industrial youth forum", Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef said at the forum, held by the ministry on October 9-10.

He said the region boasts a substantial industrial base, including three MODON industrial cities, two of which have over 70% occupancy. Qassim aims to significantly expand its industrial landscape, targeting the establishment of 1,700 to 3,000 factories and tripling industrial city areas by 2030.

Alkhorayef highlighted the ministry's strategy to train over 370,000 citizens by 2035 through the National Academy of Industry. Since February, the academy has launched 18 educational programs attended by 670 participants.

According to Alkhorayef, Qassim will offer over 3,000 training opportunities over the next three years, including 1,000 university-level seats focused on smart manufacturing skills, in partnership with Qassim University.

Alkhorayef unveiled the "future industrialists" initiative, designed to empower students and prepare them for the job market. He also announced the development of an industrial incubator in Buraidah city, to support emerging industrial projects and assist small- and medium-sized enterprises.
