The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidama) organized a workshop titled “Localizing Asparagus Cultivation,” bringing together a group of experts, researchers, and specialists in the agricultural sector.
The workshop is part of Estidama’s broader efforts to promote agricultural innovation and identify promising investment opportunities in non-traditional crops.
The event aimed to facilitate the transfer of scientific and practical knowledge related to asparagus cultivation, present findings from research conducted by the center, and highlight the crop’s economic viability and investment potential in the Kingdom’s local environment. These efforts support the goals of enhancing food security and achieving agricultural sustainability.
The workshop featured several scientific presentations that addressed the economic importance of asparagus and its potential for local cultivation, citing its adaptability to the Kingdom’s climate and the growing demand for the crop in both local and international markets.
